A local court today sent the two operatives of Babbar Khalsa International to eight-day police remand.

Jagdev Singh of Fatehgarh Sahib and Ravinderpal Singh of Moga were arrested by the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) yesterday, claiming that the duo wanted to disturb communal harmony during Operation Bluestar anniversary on June 6.

They were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate, First Class, Simarjit Singh under heavy security. The police officials who produced them in the court were tightlipped and refrained from answering queries. —TNS
