Unemployed youths under the banner of TET and BEd pass unemployed teachers’ union have blocked the link road leading to the residence of Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla here for indefinite period.

“We will not lift the blockade till the state government accepts our demands. We have worked hard and completed our degrees and also cleared Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).

However, now the government has been delaying the recruitment of teachers in the state Education Department despite having huge number of vacant posts,” said Randeep Sangatpura, press secretary of the union.

Their main demands include recruitment in the Education Department on regular basis and in a fixed time.
