Troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) seized two packets of heroin weighing 1.98 kgs from an area near the Border Out Post ( BOP), Rajoke, along the Indo-Pakistan border in this sector.

As per information, the troops on duty observed some suspicious movement across the fencing last night, following which they sounded an alert. Later, the BSF jawans challenged the Pakistani intruders, who were probably cross-border drug peddlers and opened fire towards them.

As soon as the troops opened firing, the Pakistani suspects withdrew from the spot and managed to escape taking advantage of fully-grown paddy crops. After combing the area, the contraband was recovered.
