A Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court before his elevation as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya, Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal was today transferred to Madhya Pradesh High Court as the Chief Justice. He has to assume charge by November 13.

Born on September 30, 1958, in Chandigarh, Justice Mittal did his B.Com. (Hons) from Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, in 1977, and completed LL.B. from Faculty of Law, Delhi University, in 1980.
